Polish farmers are protesting against farm imports from outside the EU and the bloc's environmental regulations. They have been blocking border crossings with Ukraine and have now expanded their protests to the western border with Germany. Over 580 protests are planned across the country, with an estimated 70,000 participants. The farmers are blocking access roads to major cities.
